Selecting Dark Store & Picking Racks

Hand-picked storage for mixed SKUs, grocery cartons and fulfilment stock. Shelf spacing, bin locations, replenishment routes and picking aisles are configured around the inventory.

SKU/carton sizes, shelf loads, number of levels, pick-face requirements, replenishment frequency, aisle and safety clearances.

How to choose dark store & picking racks

1. Share SKU/carton dimensions, weights, picking frequency and replenishment pattern.
2. Set shelf depth, clear openings, bin/divider options and suitable picking heights.
3. Lay out picking, replenishment, escape routes and required clearances.
4. Confirm shelf loads, fixing/stability and a layout that can adapt to inventory changes.

Materials, finish and order scope

Agree the steel construction, shelf/deck arrangement, reinforcement, surface treatment, colour and accessories for the use and environment. Required load per level and the heaviest individual item must be reviewed separately.Approval before manufacture: Final dimensions, load ratings, connections, stability, anchors and floor/support conditions require approval for the selected configuration.
