Selecting FIFO Flow Racks

Carton-flow or pallet-flow lanes support first-in, first-out stock rotation when replenishment and picking take place from the designated sides.

Carton/pallet dimensions, minimum and maximum weights, base condition, lane length and count, flow controls, loading and picking access.

How to choose fifo flow racks

1. Choose carton-flow or pallet-flow lanes based on the actual unit load.
2. State minimum and maximum unit dimensions/weights and describe the base condition.
3. Define replenishment/picking faces, lane length, speed controls and stop arrangements.
4. Approve a sample flow trial and lane configuration before committing to the full installation.

Materials, finish and order scope

Agree the steel construction, shelf/deck arrangement, reinforcement, surface treatment, colour and accessories for the use and environment. Required load per level and the heaviest individual item must be reviewed separately.Approval before manufacture: Final dimensions, load ratings, connections, stability, anchors and floor/support conditions require approval for the selected configuration.
